Terms of use

The short version: this site is useful guidance, not a vet. By using it you agree to these terms. Last updated 8 October 2026.

Who runs the site

Dog Food Reviewed is run by [legal name: to be added before launch].

What our scores are

Our scores and ingredient notes are an independent reading of each food’s published label, made with the published method on our how we rate page. They’re general information to help you compare foods. They aren’t veterinary advice and don’t replace advice from a vet who knows your dog, especially for illness, allergies, puppies, pregnancy or prescription diets.

Accuracy and prices

We take label information from manufacturers and retailers and check it carefully, but recipes change and mistakes happen. Always check the pack before feeding. Prices and stock come from retailers at the time shown and can change; the retailer’s price at checkout is the one that counts. If you spot a mistake, please tell us.

Links to retailers

We link to retailers so you can buy. Some links may be affiliate links, which can earn us a commission at no cost to you; food pages say so beside the prices. Commission never affects a score or a ranking: see our independence. We don’t sell anything ourselves, so your purchase is with the retailer, on their terms.

Using our content

You’re welcome to link to any page and to quote a score with a link back. Please don’t copy the site’s content or data in bulk, or scrape it, without asking. Brand names and pack images belong to their owners.

Our liability

We provide the site as it is, free of charge. As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss arising from relying on the information on it, or from a purchase you make on a retailer’s site. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your rights as a consumer.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except where the law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live in the UK.
